SKATE/EXTREME SPORT MINISTRY

Shred for the Dead is a ministry dedicated to making disciples of Jesus Christ through skateboarding. Our goal is to meet skaters where they are–local skateparks. We aim to present the Gospel by building relationships with skaters. How do we build relationships with skaters? By skateboarding!

So he [Paul] reasoned in the synagogue with the jews and with those who worshiped God and in the marketplace every day with those who happened to be there. (Acts 17:17 HCSB)


Just as Paul met and talked with people as they went about their everyday lives, Shred for the Dead is going where the skaters are. Skateboarding often carries the stigma of destruction and rebellion, which leads to an absence of the Gospel in skate culture. Shred for the Dead hopes that Christ’s love will be shown to skaters as we build relationships with them by investing in them and loving them without judgement.
